Local EMT & instructor

About Vlade Sherrill.

I’m a working Midcoast Maine EMT, and I started this training program to make CPR, AED, First Aid, and emergency response easier to learn locally.

Meet the instructor

Hi, I’m Vlade.

I’m an Emergency Medical Technician based in Midcoast Maine. I have worked in EMS around Lincoln County and nearby communities for several years, and I have seen how much the first few minutes of an emergency matter. CPR, an AED, a clear 911 call, or someone willing to step in can make a real difference before an ambulance arrives.

I started Midcoast Emergency Training because I wanted more people in our area to have a comfortable place to learn those skills. A class should not feel like a lecture or a test you have to survive. It should give you time to practice, ask questions, and leave knowing where to start if something happens.

I offer American Heart Association BLS and Heartsaver courses, along with CPR, AED, First Aid, Narcan awareness, and community preparedness classes. I work with healthcare students, businesses, schools, camps, marinas, families, and local groups throughout the Midcoast.

01

Practical

We spend more time practicing and less time listening to a lecture.

02

Supportive

Questions are welcome, and nobody is expected to know everything on day one.

03

Local

The examples come from the kinds of emergencies people actually see here.
